Hello all,
To add my 2 cents, at geoCommunity we are always glad to post a product
review/comparison provided to us by a third party. We'll even post
"features" directly from the company themselves... see this example on "The
Benefits of Topology in the Database"

Hint... this is a great way to get your word out about something rather than
disguising your message as a news release!
Notice the author, he's from Laser-Scan.. no deception here, he's clearly
from the agency that is providing the article. The readers can make their
opinions and we gladly provide a forum where people can comment or provide
feedback (like this list, discussion boards, or even letters to the editor).
Myself I tend to shy away from detailed product reviews lately for a number
of reasons, they are very time consuming and I have very little time for
this extra workload, and mostly because I am constantly flooded with
requests for reviews. On the other hand, if a company (even Manifold) wishes
to suggest a third party reviewer or if a member of the community wishes to
offer up a "quik take" I'll be glad to post the piece for all to see... be
prepared for feedback from the community though!
Any third party, writer, college prof. etc... that is willing to conduct a
product review is encouraged to contact me directly and I'll be glad to help
in any way I can.
