Subject: RE: GISList: International boundary disputes and maritime boundaries
Date:  09/15/2002 01:09:01 PM
From:  Desmond Dougall

Jonathan,

I have used maritime boundaries data from Veridian (see
www.maritimeboundaries.com ) on a UN-FAO project recently. They cost a few
thousand dollars as far as I remember. All shape file ready.

Regards,
Desmond

Subject: GISList: International boundary disputes and maritime boundaries

Dear list,

Does anyone know where I can find data on

- international boundary disputes
- maritime boundaries (including exclusive economic zones and
territorial seas)

The CIA World Factbook lists transnational issues for each country,
including boundary disputes with other countries. I'd like to find legal
descriptions of the disputed boundaries / regions (or, even better,
geographic datasets that include these). Also, does anyone know of a good
geographic dataset containing maritime boundaries?

Thanks

Jon.
