If anyone has paid a fee for web site subscriptions or if you provide
web services for this purpose (government or private sites), to
acquire or distribute geographic data, would you please inform me of
the cost and options involved. I am trying to get a general idea of
the status of the market for a research project involving data service
providers. I have been searching the net and there are just as many
ways to purchase data as there are web sites that provide it. I
thought I might be able to get a better picture of this exploding
technology if I drew on the collective experience of the gis list.
Any input will be appreciated and I will post my results to the list,
if anyone is interested.
