A co-worker is trying to import a Shape street centerline file into Adobe
Illustrator 10 (For Mac). He is using a demo version of the Mapublisher 5.0
add-in for Illustrator.
Does anyone know the steps involved in importing a Shape file successfully
into Illustrator? When trying to open this file, an error stating that
"Illustrator has encountered an unexpected error" occurs, and then
Illustrator shuts down. A second Shape file did open, but if took nearly an
hour (about 45,000 records in the shapefile), and panning, zooming, etc.
takes and extremely long time.
Also, after the Shape file is open, how do you display street names, etc.?
The Mac is a G4 OS X operating system, 1024mg of RAM.
