Power lines, three-phase and high-tension, in my experience do not have any impact on GPS reception nor on the internal working of the receiver unless your are in very close proximity of 10-15 meters. Microwave radiation on the other hand does impact most GPS devices. You might want to check into microwave signal channels passing over your areas of interest.

Had a field worker using a Garmin GPSMap 76 report that it didn't work near high power lines, which I found hard to believe. Anyone else have specific experience about them not working in such areas, or more general tips about where they don't work besides usual (heavy canopy).
