GIS List Members,
I am trying to find US Land Survey Data. I plan to create maps showing the
land that my ancestors obtained from the federal government. I'm
particularly interested in NW Arkansas. For example, one was granted title
to SW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Sec 13 of Twp 13N Range 32W. This is 40 acres in
Washington County, AR. I can point to it on a map and could measure it and
derive its coordinates.
But, I would rather use some data files, if they exist. And it would be
easier to build other maps.
