Has anyone out there figured out a simple way to generate centroid labels for a multipoint on-the-fly?
Right now I have clusters of points (Multipoints) and all have the same attributes. When labeling them, I get redundant labels, a label for each individual point. I'd like to have my labeling work more like a polygon's, with the centroid displaying one label common to them all.
As soon as I become a bit more proficient with the VB, I'll get it done that way. I'd guess that it'll take some code that generates a convex hull, and then the centroid from the hull, followed by an attribute transfer to pull in the data for the label.
If anyone has code that I could tweak that is similar, please send it my way, and I'll see what I can do with it.
I'm using ArcGIS desktop AI license
