Subject: GISList: Re: OGC and Standards, small comment

Dear Dimitri, Dear GIS World,

Happy New Year,

It's a very nice discussion regarding OGC & GIS,
it's amazing, and I'm one who is enjoying it.

But I have a small comment to Dimitri,
I know you're very biased to your product,
but don't do this over the underestimation of other
GIS contributors :

I'm sorry to tell you that there are other fresh development in GIS,
look for GE Smallworld, look for CadCorp, look for Geomedia,
and of course ESRI, and the development in the spatial-engines
in the RDBMS data providers, and others ....

This is real, and they're making good job, not only Manifold !!!!
I know that Manifold price is not compitive with other vendors,
but price is not the only factor !!!

Regards,

Mohamed Eleiche
