You may consider using ERDAS's ViewFinder 2.1 available from the ERDAS web site.
Compared to some other solutions mentioned this tool is free - well its royalty free for individuals to download for personal use ! see http://gis.leica-geosystems.com/support/software/viewfinder.html
Viewfinder 2.1 basically gives you the full reprojection - resampling capabilities of IMAGINE 8.x
It also removes the need to use the Arc Projection and converting in to and out of grids or other commercial software.
FYI, The main limitation I am aware of is that the projection information must be incorporated in to the tiff file as a geotiff i.e. *.tif with a world file is not suitable. Also you don't have as many input or output formats as IMAGINE 8.x - eg it won't read an ESRI Grid as an input, and only img and tif are supported as outputs.
It's not exactly an ESRI solution however there is tight integration between ERDAS and ESRI software so hopefully you won't have to many problems.
