Might try this link. http://arconline.esri.com/datamodels.cfm?PID=1, at one
time there was a set of example data available for download. It could be
opened in ArcGIS (ArcMap) so you had a chance to look at some tables and the
way things were put together. Haven't seen the data set recently

Subject: GISList: Forestry Data Model for ArcGIS

Anyone know of any forums or listservers relating to implementation of a
forestry data model for a natural resource department? I've checked in at
ESRI's Forestry Forum but don't see much activity. Can anyone suggest other
groups or individuals with similar interests? Our GIS will soon migrate
from ArcInfo to ArcGIS, and I'm going to have to weed through our 20+ years
of GIS digital data and 150 years of historical records to build a
geodatabase for multiple users for management of our 200,000 acre coastal
Pacific Northwest forest lands. With little experience in ArcGIS, I'd sure
be interested in hearing about other similar efforts.

PS Thanks, Philip, I knew I wasn't alone out here in red cedar country!
