Actually, X-Tools does have a new feature for adding xy coordinates.

Hi List. I use the centroid tool in XTools quite a
bit. Its good. I have tested several of the ESRI
scripts for this purpose, and Xtools wins, in my
opinion. What Xtools does not do, or at least I don't
know how to do it, is to give you the XY coordinates
for those points in the new shapefile's attribute
table. This can be very useful, if you are using the
centroids for point analysis, etc. An easy way to get
the coordinates is with a script called "Add XY
Centroid" which is also available at the ESRI site.
