Also another good solution that is cheaper than Trimble's Geoexplorer is
Thales navigation Pro Mark and it has an exterior and interior antennae as
well (geoexplorer has only an internal antennae unless you spend another
thousand or so for the Beacon on a Belt (BoB)) Here is the link to Thales
navigation main page and the page for ProMark2.
"The Ashtech GPS Advantage
Putting the power of GPS to work for you has never been easier, or more
affordable. The Ashtech® ProMark2TM survey system from Thales Navigation
delivers a unique combination of centimeter-level survey accuracy and
meter-level navigation in one convenient system1. ProMark2 guides you to
your survey point to within a few meters, utilizing correction signals from
the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), and European Geostationary
Navigation Overlay System (EGNOS). Intuitive survey software enables you to
collect and process GPS data quickly and easily. ProMark2 is a must-have
addition to any surveying tool kit and the perfect solution for the
one-person survey crew."
