Subject: GISList: Free ArcVIew Tool for UMN MapServer & Re: IMS Site Hosting
Date:  04/15/2003 02:15:01 AM
From:  Till Adams

Dear Dave,

two things come to my mind reading your message:

First of all, we crerated a tool, that writes UMN MapServer applications
out of ArcView GIS. The tool - called AveiN! - is free and everybody may
download it on our webpage at www.terrestris.de. It really makes setting
up a mapserver (UMN Mapserver is opne source) really easy, as you may
work with standard installations under windows. Get more info on our page.

Second, we run an UMN MapServer on our machine and may provide a hosting
of this page. If the data is pure shape/raster I can setup such an
application with the required tools like query, zoom in/out, pan, etc.
and also a dynamically legend, an overview map and a scalebar within two
hours. I would do this under the idea of "advertise". Running the
application on our machine also is no problem, if the wildlife res. gr.
will pay a fee for the traffic, as we also do.

Just contact me directly,

cheers,
Till
