Does anyone know of any software (preferably freeware or shareware) that can convert NMEA data to x,y,z data. I'm using a laser ranger (laserace 300)connected to an iPAQ to map the surface of a series of outcrops. The raw data is NMEA (distance, azimuth and inclination), I want to plot the data in x,y,z format using GoCAD. At each locality I'll survey in the position of the laser, with the x,y,z coordinates derived from this point.
