=============================================================== Hi Bernard, You can do this with the Spatial Analyst. Before you add them together, select Spatial Analyst>Options>Extent, then choose the largest extent of either grid. I had some trouble if I did not do this. Fo the intersection, select Raster Calculator from the Spatial Analyst, and you will see the grids displayed in the raster calculator box. Double click on the first grid, select +, then double click the second grid, then hit evaluate. Basically , you just add them together. ArcGIs creates a temporary grid, and you can right click and select Make Permanent. If your grids are not boolean, you can use Spatial Analyst>Reclassify to make them 0 and 1.
Hope that works, let me know if you need more help,
Andrea Laliberte Ph.D. Candidate Dept. of Forest Resources Oregon State University ================================================================= greetings--
I am using ArcMap 8.2 and Spatial Analyst....
I have 2 grids and I want an intersection of those grids, similar to the Boolean Intersection which is found in the Geoprocessing Wizard....how can I get that output grid?
I am not experienced with raster calculations, and I did search around the help files for Spatial Analyst.......to no avail...
Thanks in advance....
