I wish. :)
But the Simple Features for SQL spec hasn't been touched in years,
despite remaining grey areas and inconsistencies, the conformance suite
is actually internally inconsistent, and OGC seems relentlessly
determined to ignore the failures of its past. Ironically, ESRI has done
more to standardize client/server access over the last couple years via
its support of a spatially enabled OLEDB provider in the Arc8 family
than OGC has.
The OGC "vendor community" roundly ignored desktop client/server
interoperability standards last time around, I doubt OGC wants another
trip through that snake pit.
