Derek,
In ERDAS, you first have to perform a layer stack operation with the seven
.tif files to get them into a single multiband image file. You can maintain
the multiband file as tif, or import in to ERDAS native img format if you
are planning on doing additional processing on it this is probably a good
idea). The layer stack operation is found under Interpreter -> Utilities ->
Layer Stack.
Are you using ESRI's ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcEdit, or ArcInfo)? You may be

Dear List,
I am using ERDAS to process some Landsat TM data. I
was trained on ENVI, and I work in an ENVI
environment. I am finding the ERDAS interface a bit
perplexing. I have the 7 TM bands as individual *.tif
files. I want to create one multiband *.img file, and
be able to make band assignments to RGB. I find the
documentation unhelpful. If you have any quick
advice, I'd be grateful.
