List,
I keep checking the major satellite imagery vendors catalog of current inventory, and there is a lot covered already. A lot of it is already a couple years old, and primarily, the big urban centers are covered. However, I was curious today, whether or not the experts on this list feel that we will ever get to the point of having enough platforms in orbit to have 100% global imagery coverage (at or > 1m resolution) every 6 months or at least every year ? So that no matter where you point on the map, you can know that there is affordable 1m or > imagery that is no older than one year. If this is even remotely possible (or useful), how many satellites would it take ?
Thanks.
Anthony
