Hello Karim,
The program in the server that receives the location of the GPS in most
cases is just a listener. The GPS transmits the location to the server via a
cellular modem or some other mode of transfer of information. the program
reads the file that has been transmitted and shows it to the user on screen.
Using high speed modems, possibly with GPRS connection, a GPS can transmit
the location even once every few seconds to the back end server, which from
a usability perspective would look like the vehicle is continuously moving.

I would like to know how frequently a program in the
server can get the current location of a mobile user
of a PDA (with a GPS receiver).
Can we assume that we can get the location
continiously in time? or there is an important delay
between two subsequent tracks of location?
