Travis,
I would say that unless you have an extremely accurate DTM,
curvature and refraction would not amount to very much.
As I recall (from my days surveying), the combined effect of C&R is 0.0206F^2
where F is in thousands of feet. So if you were going 500 feet
the effect would be ( 500/1000) ^2 x 0.0206 or 0.005 feet.

Hi Listers,
Not much activity on the List lately. Everyone must be scrambling to meet
their ESRI UC registration deadline in a week. :-)
Quick question. When running a Line Of Sight Analysis in ArcGIS 3D Analyst
using a GRID, I don't have the option to utilize the "apply curvature and
refraction correction" - Is there a step required or certain data type or
setting to enable this option?
