One option is to change the resolution when exporting from Mr Sid Geoviewer= (free from LizardTech) - by default, the resolution is 1:1, but I often dr= op it to 8:1 (1/8 the pixels). Depending on your application, this may work= . Another option is to export to tif at full resolution, then convert the = image to a compressed format that your CAD program can read (jpg, if possib= le - I am not familiar w/ ACAD Map).=20=20
>>> "Santosh Kukian" <santosh.kukian@patni.com> 05/30/03 01:31AM >>> Hi all,
I have some images in MrSID format( approx size 7 MB each) Since I have Autocad Map which doesnt support MrSID image formats, I set about converting these images to tiff. But then this tiff size increases by 10 times( almost 70 Mb). I need some image manipulation tips/software so as to ---
1. Convert MrSID images to tiff. 2. Maintain tiff image sizes same as that of MrSID images.
My main intention is load these MrSID images into Autocad Map and also maintain image sizes less than 15 Mb.
I will sum.
Thanks in advance.
