Mohamed One method I know of is to use FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) from Safe Software, Canada (www.safe.com) to break down your line geometry into its constituent points. This can be done by using a CHOPPING FACTORY in FME by setting the maximum vertices to " 1 " and then doing a SHP to SHP translation. You can download a free trial version of FME from http://www.safe.com/download/fme/fme_install.exe ftp://ftp.safe.com/fme/2003x2/fme_install.exe
