Hi Sarah,
They are at many ways to calculate length of a line (or speaking generaly -
feature geometry). This could be done using scripts, extensions or Avenue
requests in the expression box. I will advise you to find the following
extensions (through google or other): calculate feature geometry or Xtools
(these are extensions for ArcView3.x). If you could not find them write me
and I will send them to you.
I work with ArcView 3.2 and actually I have never seen ArcView8 (for now
what I have is enough for me) but most probably the extensions *.avx files
should be the same in AV8.
