Hi,
Bentley and ESRI have announced their interoperability plans: however much of these are planned activities for the future. I am interested to know about the interoperability for the moment. As I understand, both have Oracle Spatial interfaces that are OGC Simple Feature Access Specification compliant. I suppose this means that the Oracle spatial data created through Bentley or ESRI can be accessed by the other product as simple point, line and polygon geometry. However, this cannot retain all the topology-level and other connectivity/relationship rules created. Is this understanding correct?
Also can someone explain how the geodatabase as in ESRI is better than the Oracle spatial data created by Microstation Geographics particularly in the context of a network model.
Thanks in advance. Regards, Sambhu
