Subject: GISList: RE: [ArcGIS] Lat Long to Stateplane
Date:  07/30/2003 02:20:02 PM
From:  McBryan, Jeremy

To clarify, I have lat-long text data (not a shapefile) and want to create a
shapefile that is in a Stateplane coordinate system. I used to use the Add
Event Theme option in ArcView 3.x to create the points in a map view with no
projection defined and then use the projector! tool to convert Dec-Degree
points to Stateplane points. I know this can be done in ArcMap or Arc
Toolbox 8 but can't find it.

thanks for you help,

jeremy

GISers:

I need some help remembering how to convert decimal degree points (lat-long)
into a Stateplane Coordinate system in ArcGIS 8.3. I did this all the time
in ArcView 3.x, and did it awhile ago in ArcMap but I forgot how.

thanks, jeremy
