So there are 2 alternatives =0D
1) using FME to convert among different formats:=0D

2) using ESRI .shp files for vector data and GeoTIFF for rasters (I guessed
so too, but was not so sure about it):=0D
also MapInfo MIF/MID: of course ASCII and possibly GML. =0D
