GISList,
Just wanted to pitch in and let everyone know that there is a great
resources out there about OGC's WMS spec -- the OGC WMS Cookbook. You can
dowload it from the OGC Network website:
http://ogcnetwork.org/
under "Development Resources"
It has a good explanation about why OpenGIS standards are needed!
