Subject: Re: GISList: Consulting
Date:  08/13/2003 12:30:01 PM
From:  Paul Ramsey

We overcame the issue by buying the "errors and ommissions" insurance.
However, were forced to do so because we were doing "software
development" not because of our GIS activities. Once we listed our
business as doing software development, noone would insure us unless we
got errors and ommissions insurance as well. This increased our
insurance bill by a factor of 20. It is the cost of doing business in
our litigious age, I guess.
