Dear friends,
As you know, GIScience can be used for infrastructure
management in many fields. But GISystem is a system
(software or etc) that we use it as a tool or method
to manage or make decision wisely.
What people, generally, know about GIS is the latter
one! There is a big difference between a science and
a system (or a tool)! I hope that we all (GIS experts,
Geographers and Earth scientists) try to introduce
both GIS aspects to others, not only GISystem.
If we know and use GIScience very well, we'll manage
and make decision wisely about topics like fire
prevention in forests, natural hazards, homeland
security, public health, power outage, and etc.
