Subject: [gislist] Midwest Arc users group in Omaha, NE - Sept. 22-24, 2003
Date:  08/27/2003 08:15:01 AM
From:  Shane McDermott

Hi folks,

There's going to be a meeting of the regional Arc users group in Omaha,
NE - Sept. 22-24, 2003. The reason I'm sending this email is to ask if
you or someone you work with might want to attend this meeting.

The bottom line is that registration numbers are very thin. As of
today, about 85 people are registered. Unless registration increases
dramatically, the Midwest users group stands a good chance of being
dinged (by the conference hotel) for a rather large sum of money.

The regional user group meetings are not as grand as the international
user conferences in San Diego, but the regional meetings offer a good
chance to learn first-hand from ESRI staff about what's coming with

future releases of the software - ArcGIS, ArcIMS, etc. Also, the

regional meetings are good forums to talk directly to ESRI technical
staff and to exchange information with users from various states.

If you are tempted to attend the meeting or you know of others who might
want to attend, now is the time to register.

All info. is available on-line at http://www.midwestarc.org
<http://www.midwestarc.org/>

Travel to Omaha is easier than you might think, especially if you live
in a city served by Southwest Airlines. Omaha is served by SW and with
the cheap Internet airfare, you might be able to travel roundtrip to
Omaha for $100. Registration for this 3-day event is $175 and hotel
rooms are very reasonable.

Any questions, etc. please contact me.

Thanks,

Rob
