Subject: Re: [gislist] Cartography Question for Discussion
Date:  09/01/2003 11:20:00 AM
From:  =?iso-8859-1?q?Mick=20Wilson?=

I am no cartographer, let alone expert. However, for
some of the most superb examples of stylistic as well
as philosophical underpinnings of effective visual
communication, especially maps, I cannot recommend too
highly the books by Edward R Tufte - timeless classics
all: "Envisioning Information", "The Visual Display of
Quantitative Information" and "Visual & Statistical
Thinking: Displays of Evidence for Decision Making"

Cheers
