Original Question: I know the standard .shp, .shx and .dbf parts of a shape file. Is there somewhere on the web that there is a list of all the other file types associated with a shapefile and what those components are for?
Sean Browning quickly pointed out to me that ArcView's Help files contain the answer I was looking for. Just type 'shapefile' and select 'Shapefiles described'.
Thanks Sean.
Nigel James pointed to an ESRI white paper on shapefiles but it didn't have the info I needed.
Again, this list is the greatest!
