An aerial photo can be handy. There are places on the Internet or you can try the local government. In Arc GIS or ArcView create a poly shapefile and set the aerial as a background image. Then just draw a polygon that goes around all the features from the photo that you see from a particular sensor. However, some judgment is required but this may be a good thing since you can set up some overlapping areas in case you need them.
