Another option is to use just about any digital camera and any gps unit, then use
Photo Studio, a free program to link the two together. http://www.stuffware.co.uk/photostudio/
Photo Studio relates the time stored with the image to the time gathered from a GPS track. (Make certain that you set the clock on the camera to the time on the GPS unit.) Photo Studio then updates the metadata associated with your photo to include the lat/lon data.
Use G7ToWin, also a free program from: http://www.gpsinformation.org/ronh/ to download the track from your GPS.
As mentioned earlier, GPS PhotoLink, a $229 program, shows track or waypts in Arcview and then shows photo thumbnails on cursor hover and a link to html.
