Subject: [gislist] Call for Presentations for TUGIS 2004, the 17th Annual GIS Conference!
Date:  11/17/2003 02:45:02 PM
From:  Matarazzo, Gloria Marie

The Center for Geographic Information Sciences at Towson University in
Baltimore, Maryland is sponsoring TUGIS 2004, "Planning, Prevention, and
Response: GIS and Homeland Security," on March 22 and 23, 2004.
Post-conference workshops will also be offered on March 24, 25, and 26,
2004.

For more information about TUGUS 2004, and for instructions on
submitting a presentation proposal for concurrent sessions,
mini-workshops on selected topics, or poster sessions that present
visual material or "live" software presentations, visit
http://cgis.towson.edu/tugis2004/default.htm.

The deadline for proposals has been extended from November 7 to November
21!

TUGIS emphasizes information sharing, or "technology transfer," by
anyone currently using GIS and anyone considering using GIS. In a
relaxed yet professional setting, representatives from government
agencies, businesses, and academic institutions meet, interact, and
discuss the current and future states of GIS. More than 600
professionals are expected to attend TUGIS 2004.
