Subject: [gislist] AV snap problem or just a bug
Date:  11/19/2003 01:30:00 AM
From:  Vassil Vassilev

Hi all,
seems tha AV 3.2 is going to surprise me after 7 years working with it.
I am digitizing the rivers from maps in scale 1:50 000 segment by segment
and assigning their order.
The view is in UTM WGS84, map units - meters, distance units - km. I put 200
m for the Interactive snapping tolerance. When I want to snap the end point
of one segment to the last point of another visualy the point is snapped.
Later I wanted to move a common point of two segments. When I click on it
with Vertex Edit I was surprise to see that actually they are two points
which are not snapped but at the same time I see the two round anchors on
the next closest vertexes, which should happen only if the point is common
for the two lines. When I zoomed a lot I saw the two points, I tried to move
then one by one - it was not possible.

I could not imagine what is wrong.
Any sugestions will be appreciated.
Vassil
