Hi Monica,
I got the same message. It is a ArcGIS problem. I realized that I cannot =
edit in ArcMap if I have ArcCatalog up too. (I also cannot edit in =
ArcCatalog is ArcMap is running.) Try closing out of ArcCatalog. Hope =
that helps.
