Thanks to all who reminded me of the XTOOLS extension, which I had = already. Inside there, a table edit allows for multiple deletion of = fields at one time. =20
Also, just for the heck, I tried something in ArcCatalog. If you open = the properties for a shape, the buttons to the left of the items, these = can be used too, a lot faster that in ArcView/ArcMAP even though it's = still one at a time, but without the popup that asks, "Are you sure?"
