Subject: RE: [gislist] Indian GIS usage
Date:  12/18/2003 12:10:01 PM
From:  Richard Nicoll

I think the list is invaluable in developing a 'community' of users who
are (it seems) often working on parallel problems. It is for the
benefit of everyone to share information and knowledge and ultimately
helping to build the industry.

I do however agree that some responses can be a bit 'lengthy' - a
briefer email summarising the issue can be not only more time efficient,
but also more likely to be read by more people and therefore responded
to!

Keep up the great work everyone!

That depends what you mean by "spare" time.

What makes this list work is that people are willing to contribute some
time
to helping others solve their problems or explore their interests.
Funny
how it is that if someone else spends their time on your problems it's
never
a case of too much spare time... :-)

Cheers,

Dimitri
