URISA started GISCI (GIS Certification Institute) which has all the latest
and greatest -including the new documentation for becoming certified.

I believe URISA has finalized certification. It should be starting in 2004.
You could become a GISP. Check out http://www.urisa.org Not sure if
everything is up on the website yet.

OK, here's another one. I've been prompted by others about joining a
professional associatin for GIS.... Do we have one? I've seen information
on ACSM, but are there others? This dovetails into some research as to
where I might publish several articles.
