Michele, Unfortunately, they only sent support files for the coverage. The .aux = file stores georeferencing, projections, or statistics for the data. The = .rrd (reduced raster display) file stores pyramids for the image/data. = You will need to contact them again for the coverage file. You cannot = turn these files into the data that you need. Greetings GISlisters,
I recently received some data via e-mail that I had requested -- the = Colorado Basinwide Vegetation data. I received a zipped file and when I = unzipped it, it contained 2 files: purgatoire.aux and purgatoire.rrd. = The person who sent it to me said that the data are coverages (satellite = images). =20
I'm using ArcGIS 8.3 desktop and I can find no utility to convert these = kinds of files. They do not even show up in ArcCatelog. Am I missing = something? What do I need to do to turn these files into the data I = need?
Thanks in advance -- and I will summarize all responses.
Thanks, Michele
FYI, I'm using ArcGIS 8.3 and I'm still fairly new at it. You sent me = and you said that the data comes as a coverage. I can't seem to find = any ArcGIS utilities that allow me to import these data as coverages. It = seems like something is missing (or maybe it's just my mind that's = missing!). _______________________________________________ gislist mailing list gislist@lists.geocomm.com http://lists.geocomm.com/mailman/listinfo/gislist
