Subject: [gislist] RE: nation wide Tax Map/Parcel Map Digital Data...
Date:  01/09/2004 10:30:02 AM
From:  Lega, Robert

So far response has been low... A GIS Manager from NC brought up a good =
point, that there are so many small 'Stickville, USA' types of towns =
that it would be very unlikely that these would be available.

With that being said, parcel data is still public domain, and each =
county in the US should have an assessors office that one could walk =
into and make copies of what he/she wanted. I'm thinking that what we =
need is a warehouse for all this data...After some research I was able =
to find http://www.boundarysolutions.com/=20

But some large urban counties are still not available, like Detroit, =
Denver, and Baltimore...

Best,
Robert S. Lega
