Subject: RE: [gislist] (X,Y) to lat/long
Date:  01/13/2004 01:05:00 AM
From:  Vassil Vassilev

Hi Mugur,
There is quite many things that you could do to get Lat/Lon of your points.
Let start with the first one which you could do in ArcView3.2.
If you get X,Y coordinates of you points in ArcView it seems that they are
in different projection, try to reproject them in Geographic/WGS84 Lat/Lon
using Projection Utility Wizard Extension of ArcView, then calculate X and Y
coordinates. You should know how if you have already calculated X,Y in the
firts projection.

There is also other solutions. Recently I am using GEOTRANS2.2.4.
coordinates translator - quite useful. You could download it for free from
the Internet.

Hope it helps,
If you have other questions do not hesitate to contact me.
