Subject: RE: [gislist] Putting details to DEM

From:  True, Cynthia D.

Have you tried HydroTools for ArcInfo? It takes a little bit of effort
to learn, but you can download it for free from the ESRI web site.

Here is an excerpt from the documentation.

The Arc Hydro tools are a set of utilities developed on top of the Arc
Hydro data model. They operate in the ArcGIS environment. Some of the
functions require the Spatial Analyst extension. =20

Tools in the Terrain Preprocessing menu deal with processing of Digital
Elevation Model (DEM). They are mostly used once in order to prepare
spatial information for later use.

Good Luck,
dt

Subject: [gislist] Putting details to DEM

Hi Listers,
I have a DEM with pixel size of 300m. I also have river network and
point file of the elevation points digitized from maps in scale 1:100
000.
Could you suggest any solution how the DEM could be reprocessed using
rivers and point in ArcInfo in order to put some more details in it,
because now it is too generalized.
I know that this is almost impossible but for sure there are some
solutions that could improve at least a bit the details in DEM.

Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Vassil Vassilev
