Subject: Re: [gislist] GeoXT w/ BoB: Settings in ArcPad?
Date:  01/28/2004 05:10:01 PM
From:  Kevin Murphy

I might be way off here....but...as I recall
Com1 and Com3 share the same physical port
Com2 and Com4 share the same physical port
the only difference is that Com3 and Com4 are virtual..

Does that sound right ???

GIS-Listers,
Does anyone out there know the proper connections for
using ArcPad with a GeoXT handheld and BoB?

My current situation:
Terrasync tells me that I'm reading DGPS positions. I
understand that the real-time data is routed from COM1
to COM4, but I'm getting nowhere trying to connect to
COM4 (even though GPS Connector tells me that
real-time is available through COM4).

I've connected to COM4 in ArcPad using all available
protocols and have been setting Baud 2400, Parity
None, Data Bits 8, Stop Bits 1. What am I missing?

Thanks,

=====
