It could be the project was saved under the C: Drive and you are opening it under the D: Drive (or something like that). This happens to me a lot. I know you can open it by finding the files under the correct drive or folder you are under and then save it

I am trying to open an ArcView 3.2 project which someone else created a while back. After I answer about a thousand "where is this file?" questions, I get an error that says "segmentation error". Or -- if instead of answering the "where is this file?" questions, I click on "cancel all", I get a message saying something like "This project cannot be opened." I also tried importing the project into ArcGIS 8.3, but it just freezes up on me.
Any ideas on how I can open this project?
