Hello Everyone --
Thank you to everyone who has responded to my Segmentation Error/trouble
opening an AV project querry. I'm really grateful for your help.
I don't think I was specific enough. The deal is that I took over a job
for someone who has been gone for nearly a year. One project he worked on
contained many, many maps, which I've been trying to locate (his
organization was horrendous!). I'm using the very same computer he did --
so the files are on the hard-drive. Some of them may have been moved to
new folders, etc. -- hence the "where is this file?" questions. The one
and only AV project that seems to be related to this project is a huge file
-- 40,000 KB -- which I'm assuming contains all of the maps. So, it is a
very big file with, I'm guessing, many, many layouts in it.
So -- I go through the process of answering a few of the "where is this
file?" Q's and then it just says "segmentation error" and that's that. It
is annoying answering those questions (and thank you to everyone who turned
me onto the word pad trick), but I've done this before for many other files
he created, but never has one been so large nor resulted in failure to
open.
If this new info sheds any new light on the problem, feel free to shine of
it my way.
