Hello everybody,
One of my colleagues asked me about the PATCH (Program to Assist in Tracking Critical Habitat) program. It is a spatially explicit, individual-based, life history simulator designed to project populations of territorial terrestrial vertebrate species through time. PATCH accepts bitmaps as a GIS layer. The only way I know to generate bitmaps for the program is through Arc/Info or Unix Sun command GRIDIMAGE. This command allows to generate georeferenced bitmap image.
Unfortunately, the only software that is available for my colleague is ArcView and she is not sure what would be the best way to generate bitmap with georeferenced information.
Does anybody have any experience with using PATCH and input GIS data?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you Anna Werner
