Subject: [gislist] RDF for VEHICLE TRACKING
Date:  03/11/2004 06:55:00 AM
From:  Alberto Fabiano

Hi Dears,

Please, could anybody here supply myself some information on
solutions of LBS based on "INS", "Doppler" or other kind of RDF what
can be used to track stolen cargo it?=20

At first I'm just making a research about these types solutions,
technology and of the players of the market, but this study can result
in a partnership with companies of the south america.

If there are a location system and navigation for you equip of
escort and rescue then it will be perfect! =20

My idea is that for more smart devices and actions that a AVL
system on GPS can be, robberies will always exist, mainly with the
sophistication of the robberies gangs:

- This way, it should always have a possibility to track cargo,
but the current systems of tracking cargo by mini GPS units is still
very expensive, when it happens a robbery a rescue team and
investigation is always worked, like this these can make a tracker with
some solution of RDF, be based on Doppler, INS or any other thing more
advanced. =20
=20
I imagine like this that, GPS for the truck and RDF for the
loads can be a perfect solution and of reasonable cost.

=09
For kindness, could anybody help myself?

Thanks.,
- Kind Regards.
