hey Group:
=20
I am using ArcView 8.3 on a Win XP Pro system.
=20
I have a polygon shapefile that I am trying to edit. I am trying to carve =
the bays and inlets out of the original boundary polygon so that only the =
land is left. I have been successful over the last couple of hours at =
carving out the bays by using the cut polygon features task. I guess I =
have messed something up as now when I go to carve out the next bay I get =
the following error:
=20
"The Cut Polygons task could not be completed. An internal error has =
occurred in the geometry system."
=20
I looked on the ESRI knowledge base search and the only reference I found =
that was close was a suggestion to use the topology editing tools - not an =
option as it is disabled in ArcView.
=20
How do I fix the geometry or how can I continue to carve these bays out?
